Pilates offers a world of benefits, meditative properties, a strengthened core, leaner muscles, flexibility, and a nice toned body. And the best bit of it is that you only need a pair of leggings or jogging bottoms and to turn up. The class is run in the evening by an experienced instructor and is aimed at everyone, even if you’ve never done it before. Due to the relaxing nature of Pilates, it’s not a particularly taxing form of exercise, most of the time being spent laid on a mat (which will be provided for you). But is perfect if you’re looking to tone up and wind down on a budget.
Whether you're a complete beginner or are a dab-hand at pilates, the class is designed to fit any ability. The session can be made harder or easier, meaning everyone can join in. It's made more fun by the fact that we have Social Sports Ambassadors to support you throughout and all backgrounds are encouraged to come.
Join us every Tuesday from 17:30-18:30 at Suffolk New College Sports Centre, Room 1. If you don't know where to go, then come to the SU for 17:15 and our Social Sports Ambassador can show you the way. It costs just £1 for staff/students and £3 for members of the public. You can either pay on the tills at the SU Shop and bring your voucher along to the session, or pay at the door in cash.
