Through our years of running BarCoda, we have learnt a few tips and tricks along the way to make this bar crawl the best night in your Freshers' 18...
- Eat plenty of food before coming out…
A common phrase used before a night out is ‘I won’t eat much tonight because I want to get drunk!’… please EAT! Food helps with taking that initial hit of alcohol away, you don’t want to be that person who can’t make it past Cult – and believe us, there’s been a few!
- Pace yourself…
BarCoda is one of the largest Freshers’ events here at Suffolk with 7 bars/clubs visited throughout the night, with that in mind, we suggest only having 1 or 2 drinks per stop to ensure you make it to then end (Unit 17). Plus you don’t want to peak too soon and ruin your own night of making memories with your friends!
- Know your stops…
Keep in mind where your next stop is, this way if you find yourself left behind for any reason, you know exactly where to go to catch up with everyone else!
Our stops and estimated time of arrival are:
- Cult - 7pm
- Venue 77 - 7:20pm
- Yates - 8:45pm
- The Rep - 9:45pm
- New York Exchange Bar - 11pm
- Revolutions - 11:30pm
- Unit 17 - 12:30pm
If you need any help or assistance along with way there will be your SU staff members and student stewards who will be clearly visable in high-visablity jackets or orange steward tops.
With all that said, we wish all those attending BarCoda a safe and enjoyable bar crawl experience with your SU! See you tonight!
