First of all, welcome back!
There’s been a few changes happening around the SU and University over the summer break, so here’s a little summary to keep you up to date…
1. Welcome to our new website!
You’ve probably noticed that we have a new and improved SU site. This update should allow for an easier experience navigating the website, allowing you to find out what’s on, how to get involved and what to do if you need help without hassle! However, we are still figuring out the kinks, so if you do find a glitch or something that doesn’t seem right, please let us know at firstname.lastname@example.org.
2. New officers!
Back in March we held our annual elections where you, the students, voted for your president, vice president and student officers. Georgia, and Amy were delighted to be re-elected by the student body and look forwards to another year, representing you!
Some say current students can't get involved in Freshers'... We all know that's a huge lie! Please don't miss out on Freshers' fortnight because you're not a new students, who else will show the Freshers' how it's done otherwise? Watch this space for the Freshers' events!

5. Parking changes!
The current University car park (in front of the Library) will still be available to students and staff, but the spaces will be reduced due to The Hold building works. Preparations for the new University car park on the Waterfront are underway and it is due to be ready at the beginning of September. The University are also working with Ipswich Borough Council to make available the Athena Hall public car park for University users. There won't be an increase in charge. We understand that there will be no reduction in car parking for students. We'll keep you posted with news as we have it.
