Christmas at the SU

Writing a letter to Santa is a magical experience! Whether you have children who would love to receive a letter from Santa in the post or you would love this yourself, keep on reading.... we have something for you!
This year, our Student Officer team is organizing a number of Christmas initiatives and one of them is Letters to Santa! Everyone who sends a letter will receive a reply in the post.
How to post my letter?
1) Use the post box at the SU
There will be a Chirstmas post box at the SU. You can find it in the Social Space (Library Building) on the table next to Reception between 18th November and 4th December.
All letters will be collected on the 4th of December, so Santa has time to respond to them.
or
2) Post it to us
If you are not on campus, you can also post your letter to:
FAO: Letters to Santa
University of Suffolk Students’ Union
|
Waterfront Building, Neptune Quay,
|

|
Make sure they are delivered by 4th December 2020. Santa is old and reads slowly, so please give him enough time to respond to you. Ho- ho- ho!
Please include your name/ your child/children's names in the letter and your address (we will use this address to post a letter back).
Please email Gergana at g.ivanova@uos.ac.uk if you have any questions.

CHRISTMAS COCKTAIL MAKING
Join us for the final SU event of the year. Your President Dan will be making Christmas inspired cocktails. We have also prepared some short games to play while enjoying our drinks. All the ingredients needed for the cocktails will be emailed to you prior to the event. We would also like to encourage you to send your own Christmas cocktail recipes prior to the event. Dan will then make the cocktails, try them, decide who is the winner and you will win an awesome prize!

Dan's Top Tips on what to prepare in advance:
Espresso ice cubes - simply pour strong coffee into an ice cube tray and freeze
Sugar syrup - simmer equal volumes of water and sugar in a pan, stirring, until the sugar has dissolved. Cool before using. You will need 25ml for the cocktail
Cranberry syrup - simmer 15 cranberries, 2 teaspoons of sugar and 2 tablespoons of water until the cranberries have softened - then sieve the mixture squeezing all the juice out of the cranberries and leave to cool
