Following the success of the Reclaim the Night march held in February, the Students’ Union will be bringing the march back to Ipswich as part of the White Ribbon calendar in November.
Students and the wider community are encouraged to join the event on Tuesday 25 November 2025, which is the start of the “16 days of action” of this national campaign. The theme of the White Ribbon action this year is “We Speak Up”.
Mia-Nicole Brown, President of Activities and Wellbeing said: “We were amazed by the number of people who attended in February, which is why we wanted to make this event a key part of the White Ribbon calendar. With new students joining our community and domestic violence continuing to affect so many lives, it’s more important than ever to keep the conversation going and raising awareness. Every one of us - regardless of gender - has the power to challenge violence, support survivors, and promote a culture of respect.”
The march is planned to start at the University on the Waterfront in Ipswich, and to finish on the Cornhill. It will be part of a wider Students’ Union safety campaign for students.
Full details of the route and timings will be publicised in November
