What course did you study at UOS?
MIA: BSc (Hons) Sport and Exercise Science
LEE-ANN: BA (Hons) History as a full time student, and then a Masters in History as a part time student
What are you looking forward to most as a sabbatical officer?
MIA: Getting to know all the students at the University of Suffolk and working with them to plan events and activities whilst being an advocate for them when needed
LEE-ANN: Speaking with students and helping resolve issues and create new opportunities for students.
What’s the biggest issue facing students?
MIA: Starting a new chapter when joining university, whether it's moving away from home and having more independence or being in a new environment you aren't necessarily used to, alongside financial and social struggles.
LEE-ANN: Cost of Living crisis and gaining experience alongside academic study.
What’s your perfect Saturday like?
MIA: Going out for a meal and drinks with friends and having a catchup
LEE-ANN: Breakfast outside, a ride around Suffolk countryside on my partner’s bike, dinner at my local and a movie night.
