Prioritising All by Representing In Sports & Health
My name is Connor Parish, and I am the Health and Sports Sciences School Officer. I am a qualified first aider, health care assistant and radiography department assistant and am currently a first year Therapeutic Radiography student. As well I am the current president of the First Aid Society.
Working within the Health Service is my passion and my life, and I would love to be a voice and representative for the students training to be our next healthcare professionals. I feel I would be suited to this role, as I am a good listener who is always willing to help and support others and am hoping to be a voice and force of improvement for everyone. As Health and Sports Sciences School Officer, I want to make sure students are heard and understood, and that information and advice we are given is consistent, helpful and constructive to our future development. Especially during COVID, I really feel that we need the right representation between the universities and healthcare placement providers.
An idea I would like to bring to the table is making a university first aid unit/society through Saint John Ambulance. This unit would meet weekly for first aid training as well as complete first aid for local events when allowed.
