Come and join the Psychology Society for some spooky fun! We will have themed crafts tables including 3D pumpkins and bookmarks for you to take home, as well as a prize for best pumpkin design! There will also be apple bobbing and Halloween bingo to get involved in, again with prizes for the winners! Costumes welcomed!

Come along and give Film Society a go! 🎬 Whether you’re a big film fan or just looking for a relaxed way to meet new people, come along and enjoy a film with the Film Society.

The film will be voted for at the Sports & Societies Showcase on Wednesday 23rd September in the Waterfront building foyer between 12.30-15.30, so if you would like have your say on what we watch, pop down to this. You'll also get to meet the Film Society Committee.

Come along and give Netball a go! Whether you’re a complete beginner or have played before, this is a great opportunity to meet new people, get active and try something new. The session will be led by the Netball Committee who will be on hand to guide you through the session and make everyone feel welcome. Future sessions being led by our Netball Coach, Marie.

🚌 Getting to Inspire:
If you need transport to or from Inspire, the Number 3 bus runs from close to campus, stopping at Bishops Hill and Cavendish Street, before stopping at the top of Lindberg Road, where Inspire is located. The journey takes around 7 minutes.

🏸 Give It a Go: UoS SU Badminton

Fancy giving badminton a go? Whether you’re a complete beginner, getting back into the sport or looking to play more competitively, come along to a free Give It a Go session with UoS SU Badminton!

The session will be led by our amazing Coach Jamie, who is also President of Badminton, giving you the chance to get involved, meet the committee and other members, and see what the club is all about before committing to a membership.

Session Structure:

First hour: Normal social games as an introduction to the club and sport as a whole.
Second hour: A few structured, open practices targeting specific aspects of the game. Don't worry - this is not intense academy-style training, just focused, high-enjoyment gameplay. All practices will be demonstrated by nationally ranked players who compete on the national circuit.

What to bring:
👕 Comfortable sportswear
👟 Suitable indoor sports trainers
💧 A bottle of water

We provide the rackets and shuttlecocks but if you have your own and you'd like to bring it, feel free.

No previous experience is needed – everyone is welcome! Come along, have a play and meet some new people while giving badminton a go.

Come along and give Dungeons & Dragons a go! 🎲 Whether you’re a complete beginner or a seasoned D&D player, this is a great opportunity to try out the game, meet new people and see what the D&D Society is all about.

We’ll be running a couple of one-shots - D&D games designed to be played over a single session - so you’ll have a choice of which adventure interests you most. All games will be beginner-friendly, and there’s no pressure or expectation to join the society afterwards. However, if you enjoy the session and would like to get involved, we’d be more than happy to welcome you!

🕔 Meet: 4:45pm outside the Question Mark at Waterfront or meet us there at 5pm
📍 Location: Langden Games (Short walk from Campus)

The session will take place at CrossFit Claydon, where you’ll have the chance to try out some of the basic movements and techniques involved in Olympic Weightlifting. No previous experience is needed, and the session is suitable for beginners.
