Get ready for an exciting showdown as the Suffolk Black Shucks take on the Suffolk New College teachers in our first official game! After months of training together, this match is set to be competitive, fast-paced, and full of energy.

Come down, bring your friends, and show your support for the SU Basketball team as we hit the court and put our skills into action. It’s not just a game - it’s the start of something big.

Location: Goals, IP4 1LP (Easily walkable from Ipswich Campus)

Date: Monday 27^th April

Time: 5pm-7pm tip off at 5:20pm

Tickets: Participants: £5 and Spectators: £2. These funds will go directly towards supporting the SU Basketball team.

Kinesiology taping seminar (11/04/2026, 09:30)

This 1-day course will teach you taping techniques that can be applied to lots of problems in the musculoskeletal system. It includes: Theory and Concepts of Kinesiology taping (including the evidence), Symptom Reduction Taping (SRT), Research Review, Oedema Control Taping (OCT), Dynamic Postural Taping (DPT), Power Taping Method (PTM). You will receive a RockTape CPD certificate upon completion of this course.

Location: HW318, Health and Wellbeing building, 9:30-16:00

Tickets are £99 (reduced from £149 for students), 20 places maximum.

Healthcare Summer Ball

Honouring all your hardwork, victories and dedication.

The midwifery society are happy to announce their first ever healthcare summer ball.

The first release of tickets is open to all midwifery students and 3rd year paramedic, nursing, radiography and physiotherapy students. The summer ball is a great opportunity to celebrate accomplishments, mingle with other health courses and is the perfect way to finish this academic year.

First release ticket prices:

Midwifery society members - £42

UoS healthcare students - £46

Please note a valid midwifery society membership can only purchase one ticket, any further tickets purchased must be purchased at full price.

Ticket sales close for first release on April 30th. The second release will follow with the remaining tickets open to all healthcare students.

Please note tickets are non-refundable.

In the upcoming months you will have the ability to nominate people in your cohort for awards for different categories, it is the perfect opportunity to recognise all the hard work and dedication that you put into your degree.
