Full-time Officers lead the Officer team and Students' Union. They focus on engaging with students digitally and face to face, monitoring key issues and problems they discover and responding to these. They work on their manifesto campaigns while also engaging with other campaigns and projects that occur during the term. Act as representatives of the student body and give them a voice at University boards, committees and other meetings deemed relevant to their position or campaigns. Hold a trustee position of the Students' Union Trustee Board.

 

The President and Vice President champion the Students' Union and the students at the University of Suffolk in everything they do.

School Officers 

Liberation Officers

BAME (Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic), LGBT+ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, the + stands to incorporate other marginalised and minority sexuality/gender identities), SWCR (Students with Caring Responsibilities), SWD (students with Disabilities), Postgraduate, Women's.

 

School Officers will represent the needs of students within their School through campaigns or through their position on a variety of University boards, committees and other relevant meetings. Work closely with getting Course Representatives elected and working with them throughout the year. Work closely with the rest of the Student Officer Team to complete campaigns and work on shared projects. Collect and respond to feedback from students within the School.

 

Liberation Officers will represent the needs of students within their Liberation Group through campaigns or through their position on a variety of University boards, committees and other relevant meetings. Work closely with students within the Liberation Group and hold drop-ins to gather feedback that can be acted upon. Work closely with the rest of the Student Officer Team to complete campaigns and work on shared projects.

Part-time - Voluntary

Campus Officer

Campus Officer is there to represent the students at that specific campus and take these to the relevant boards, committees and meetings. Hold drop-ins to collect and distribute feedback on issues relating to the campus. Work closely with the staff at the campus and the Students' Union to deliver on manifesto campaigns and on other projects throughout the year.

 

Campus Officers champion the Students' Union and the students they represent in everything they do.
