Hedgehog Friendly Campus

Hedgehog Friendly Campus

The Hedgehog Friendly Campus is a fun, new accreditation scheme that aims to turn your university campus into a place where hedgehogs can thrive. Did you know that hedgehogs have declined by 30% in urban areas since 2000 and even more in rural areas? Taking part in Hedgehog Friendly Campus means that staff and students play an active role in helping hedgehogs to get back to healthy numbers. We, the Wildlife society, are happy to participate in the program, and represent the University of Suffolk. The location of the University of Suffolk is especially interesting as there are limited natural areas on the campus. Still, as hedgehogs continously have to move to urban areas, we can provide important shelter for them.
